Benoît Leleux is the S. Schmidheiny Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance at IMD, after similar positions at INSEAD and Babson College. He is the author of “Investing Private Capital in Emerging and Frontier Market SMEs”, “Nurturing Science-Based Start-ups”, “From Microfinance to Small Business Finance” and “A European Casebook on Entrepreneurship and New Ventures”. His latest books include “Private Equity 4.0: Reinventing Value Creation”, with H. van Swaay and E. Megally, published by Wiley in 2015 and “Winning Sustainability Strategies”, with Jan van der Kaaij, published by Palgrave in 2018. He is a leading author of award-winning case studies and scientific papers on private equity, venture capital and venturing in general. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from INSEAD (France), an MBA from Virginia Tech (USA) and an MSc in Agricultural Engineering from UCL (Belgium).
