Portfolio transactions
Acquire portfolios consisting of a minimum of 3 companies, operating within the same or different sectors, in one single transaction. On a case-by-case basis, acquire also a single company (e.g. as add-ons to existing investments).
Sophisticated vendors
Provide a one-stop shop solution to diverse vendor profiles, such as private equity firms, corporates (carve-outs) and investment holdings, who seek efficient liquidity solutions.
Lower mid-market companies in Western Europe
Acquire companies headquartered in Western Europe that are undergoing a step-change phase we can facilitate. Average equity ticket of EUR 5-25m per company. Preference for controlling stakes.
Diverse sectors
We are able to invest across a multitude of sectors, notably industrial / tech, sustainable consumer and scalable services. We target resilient companies, operating in complementary industries, with conservative levels of leverage.
Plumettaz, a Swiss-based cable installation equipment company, was acquired from a Swiss private equity manager in 2015 as part of a transaction consisting of 6 portfolio companies. During our investment period we helped transform the company to a world-leading, professional organisation established across the telecom and energy sectors.
Evoco was able to serve as a valuable sparring partner to the Plumettaz management team, sharing expertise on leadership topics and key geographical markets. We formed and recruited a professional and independent board of directors, providing further support and experience. Leadership and management coaching was also introduced.
We were able to leverage our extensive experience in the telecom industry to accelerate the development of new, high-quality and environmentally friendly products. Evoco also supported the company in its internationalisation efforts, both organically and acquisitively as well as in digitalisation, branding and sales projects.
At the end of Evoco’s investment period, Plumettaz was successfully sold to a reputable Swiss mid-market private equity manager in 2021, delivering a significant multiple on invested capital to our investors.
